About Us
Utsav Malayalee Samaj is a community-driven, not-for-profit organisation serving Malayalee families in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Since its establishment in 2008, Utsav has provided a platform for families to connect, celebrate Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, and strengthen community bonds while embracing Australia’s multicultural way of life.

Our Journey
📍 2008 — Foundation
Utsav Malayalee Samaj was established to unite Malayalee families in Melbourne’s western suburbs and preserve Kerala’s cultural identity.
📍 Early Years — Building Community
Regular gatherings and cultural celebrations brought families together, strengthening friendships and community belonging.
📍 Growing Participation
Membership expanded across Brimbank and Melton, with increasing participation in cultural programs and community events.
📍 Cultural Recognition & Public Participation
Utsav began representing Kerala culture at multicultural festivals and events organised by local councils and community organisations.
📍 2016 — Environmental Commitment
Launch of the Trees for Life initiative supporting native planting and revegetation along Kororoit Creek.
📍 Today — A Vibrant Community
Utsav now serves 400+ members, continuing to celebrate culture, support families, and contribute positively to multicultural Australia.
